Storymap Creation
This project saw a major telecommunications company working collaboratively with various divisions within the Province of Alberta’s Ministry of the Attorney General. The object of the event was to explore the current and future business requirements of a major technology initiative within the province. The focus of the event was a large scale storymap that imagined a future disaster scenario and how the various represented departments would co-ordinate their efforts.
The slideshow below is a “time lapse” representation of the storymap at is evolved over the course of the event. The design of the event utilized small teams of 4-7 people working in 60-90 modules attacking different elements of the challenge. The output of the modules was incorporated into the storymap. The final version of the storymap included everyone’s collective knowledge and requirements for how a world class emergency communication system should operate.
The slideshow below summarizes the event design that went into creating this storymap and provides some background information on the importance of visual modelling as a tool for improved organizational performance.
